Chapter Philanthropy

The UMSL Zetas are so excited for a week full of events, which will all support a great cause--Breast Cancer Education & Awareness! Throughout October, National Breast Cancer Education and Awareness Month, the Theta Kappa Chapter hosts a plethora of events to raise awareness and money.

Pink Pancake: October 9th

Our first event this year will be the Pink Pancake Breakfast hosted at the Zeta Tau Alpha House, located at 8218 Natural Bridge Rd. across from the UMSL West Drive. For $5, participants can enjoy all you can eat pancakes!

3rd Annual Washer's Tournament: October 15th

This is Theta Kappa's biggest local philanthropy event of the year! Join a Washer's Team, bring a chili for a Chili Cook Off, participate in a Silent Auction, and enjoy a wide-selection of treats at our Cake Walk. It is $30 for a Washer's Team (2 people) and $10 to enter a chili. We hope to see you there! Location: Zeta Tau Alpha House 8218 Natural Bridge Rd.

Philanthropy is a big part of every one of our sisters' lives. We pride ourselves on raising money to benefit Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. The Theta Kappa chapter has taken large strides in the amount of service and activities we do both on and off campus that support our philanthropy.

We also offer our support by attending various "Pink Out" games on campus. We hand out ribbons and cheering on our teams decked out in pink in support of Breast Cancer Education and Awareness!

We are proud to announce that this past year, we raised over $10,000 for our cause. We worked to raise this money through gaining sponsors and from the help of friends, family, and other Greek Life members. We worked to raise awareness through making pink breast cancer ribbon pins with our sisters and passing them out around campus to students and family. We are excited for the year to come as we hope to raise even more money and awareness for this cause through pairing with the Think Pink Foundation.
